Diffusion Approximation for Processes with Semi-markov Switches and Applications in Queueing Models

چکیده
Stochastic processes with semi-Markov switches (or in semi-Markov environment) and general Switching processes are considered. In case of asymptotically ergodic environment functional Averaging Principle and Diiusion Approximation types theorems for trajectory of the process are proved. In case of asymptotically consolidated environment a convergence to a solution of a diierential or stochas-tic diierential equation with Markov switches is studied. Applications to the analysis of random movements with fast semi-Markov switches and semi-Markov queueing systems in case of heavy traac conditions are considered. 5.1 INTRODUCTION In various models appearing at study of complex stochastic systems such as state-dependent queueing systems and networks, information and computer systems, production and manufacturing systems, etc., we come to a 77

Averaging Met hods for Transient Regimes in Overloading Retrial Queueing Systems
A new approach is suggested to study transient and stable regimes in overloading retrial queueing systems. This approach is based on limit theorems of averaging principle and diffusion approximation types for so-called switching processes. Two models of retrial queueing systems of the types h?/G/i/w.r (multidimensional Poisson input flow, one server with general service times, retrial system) a...
متن کاملConditions Of Gaussian Non-Markov Approximation For Multi-Channel Networks
In this paper the asymptotic analysis of multi-channel queueing networks is developed. Service processes in a heavy traffic regime for [ | , and -models are considered. Functional limit theorems of diffusion approximation type for service processes are formulated under convergence in uniform topology. A limit non-Markov Gaussian process is constructed, its correlation characteristics are repres...
متن کاملApplying Semi-Markov Models for forecasting the Triple Dimensions of Next Earthquake Occurrences: with Case Study in Iran Area
In this paper Semi-Markov models are used to forecast the triple dimensions of next earthquake occurrences. Each earthquake can be investigated in three dimensions including temporal, spatial and magnitude. Semi-Markov models can be used for earthquake forecasting in each arbitrary area and each area can be divided into several zones. In Semi-Markov models each zone can be considered as a sta...
متن کاملDiffusion approximation modeling for Markov modulated bursty traffic and its applications to bandwidth allocation in ATM networks
We consider a statistical multiplexer model, in which each of K sources is a Markov modulated rate process (MMRP). This formulation allows a more general source model than the well studied “on–off” source model in characterizing variable bit rate (VBR) sources such as compressed video. In our model we allow an arbitrary distribution for the duration of each of M states (or levels) that the sour...
متن کاملA Successive Lumping Procedure for a Class of Markov Chains
A class of Markov chains we call successively lumpable is specified for which it is shown that the stationary probabilities can be obtained by successively computing the stationary probabilities of a propitiously constructed sequence of Markov chains. Each of the latter chains has a(typically much) smaller state space and this yields significant computational improvements. We discuss how the re...
